The domain of aesthetic experiences is fundamental to human life and intersects deeply with EPEEs and related behavioral and sociocultural aspects. Experiences involving more or less central aesthetic aspects, a sense of beauty, of awe, of sublimity, etc., are very common. Culturally-speaking, most spiritual and mystical traditions exhibit elaborate aesthetics, which often draw on elements and themes of the sociocultural and natural environments.
